Breast cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer in South Africa, in women of all races.

According to The National Cancer Registry (NCR) 1 in 25 are at risk of developing breast cancer in their lifetime. The NCR has also identified breast cancer as a national priority due to the rapid increase in incidences every year.
Padel for Pink is a national social responsibility initiative that runs for the full month of October to support Breast Cancer awareness and raise funds for screenings and mammograms for high-risk women living in under-resourced areas.

Why Padel?

Since the first court opened late 2019, Padel has become the fastest-growing sport in South Africa, with over 160 courts across the country. Not only is Padel a great workout, but it’s also very competitive, loads of fun and highly social. We believe a Padel challenge is the ideal vehicle for raising breast cancer awareness and funds.

Fund Raising

During the month of Padel for Pink tournaments, we will be publishing our Padel partners’ locations and websites for easy booking.

The funds raised through court bookings and gear will go towards the cost of a screening and / or mammogram for high-risk women who cannot afford to have one.

Players will be asked to wear their Padel for Pink T-shirts
(which will be available to purchase online July – October).

Corporates will be contacted via our organisation to use Padel for Pink as a client / staff team building opportunity – and the company that books the most courts (i.e., plays the most frequently) will then also become the leading donor, and will be acknowledged.
